Lessons from the NET 🎾
I used to be an AWEFUL SPORT. In fact - not too long ago - I remember making this gesture too.
And it was TERRIBLE for my game.
Being angry takes my focus away from winning thoughts and behaviors. It's also very distracting to my partner - and empowering to my opponents.
Learning to be a GOOD SPORT is just as important as learning technique, nutrition and fitness too.
Especially as I'm a social player - my emotional experience on the court can be intense - but doesn't need to be negative. All of the cells in my body get damaged if I am being mean.
The best way to WIN is with love, respect, etiquette and tenacious commitment!
Because even if I lose the match - I get to go home feeling good about myself!
