Lessons from the NET 🎾
Why is it s important for recreational tennis players to WIN their match? To a point where if they don't win they get really upset? It is a strong attachment to outcomes. A thought from the Ego that says - things like, "if I win today - I am a better person" or "if I don't win I suck as a human being - I will be a loser in life." The issue with being so stressed about winning is that you don't get to enjoy the journey. You can't have true gratitude and presence. You won't be generous with yourself or your partner when mistakes happen. And if you lose - it will negate the whole point of the experience!!! If you truly want to have fun - connect yourself more to the moment - take a deep breath, look at the trees, admire your partners (and opponents) great shots and congratulate yourself for smiling a feeling good - not just for making good shots.
If tennis is your hobby - the. It's a time for relaxation and recharging - as well as making happy memories.
It's a GAME - don't take it so seriously!!! Even the amazing #novakdjokovic stays sweet!!! Choose to enjoy every second on the court - release the need to look good!!! 🎾🎾🎾🎾🎾🎾🎾
